Prosthetic parity will not become law in Texas in 2007.

The conference committee rejected all House amendments of SB23, including our prosthetic coverage article.

You can read the conference committee report here:  http://www.lrl.state.tx.us/scanned/80ccrs/SB0023.pdf  (see page#20 of the pdf)

Thus ends our chances for passing prosthetic parity in this legislative session.  Two years from now we’ll try again.

Thanks for your help.

Let’s make it happen in 2009 !

(5) Call your district’s representatives and urge him or her to press Sen Nelson to concur to SB23 amendment16.

These are short calls, they will most likely say “thank you, we’ll pass along the message”.

If you are from the district of the representative you are calling be sure to highlight that fact.

If you called yesterday, it is still helpful to call again today.
